Leigh anne is the mother of the family that takes in michael, and has a strong personality. she faces many challenges in which involve taking care of michael and getting him to be accepted by everyone, get to have a chance in life and to have somewhere to stay. one of her challenges is first of all taking care of michael as she has to take him shoping for new cloths, makes him his own room and tries to get him to think of himeself as one of the family members and not just a stranger sleeping at there house. she also finds taking care of him a challenge as she needs to get permision legaly, she doesnt know if wht she is doeing is the right thing even and has to get the family to accept him. she also faces the challenge of geting michael ferver ahead in life trying to give him as many chances in life as possible trying to open many doors for him and getting him a good education and going behind the scenes to organise things to help michael succeed in going to college.
