Goerge milton is a migrant worker and lennies best friend which he travel arounds with and takes care of. This is the main reason as to why goerge happenes to have so many challenges as well as he has t spend all his time taking care of lennie and trying to keep out of trouble which is a challenge in it self but also having to help lennie when ever he does get in trouble and also having to suffer the consiquences. we find that this happenes in the begining of the book when goerge and lennie are running away from the ranch they used to work at because of lennie being accused of raping a girl because he was touhin her. this is one example of how it has had a direct effect of goerge as hehas to suffer the consiquenses of him actions by leaving the ranch and having to move to a new one which means he didnt get paid for his work that month making him have done a lot of work for no reason and also meaning that he can never go to that area again or at 

least with lennie. another strong example of this was when he had to kill lennie at the end of the book because of him accidently killing curly's wife. this has a great toll on goerge as it means he cant do anything without felling depressed and sad as well as feeling responsible for lennies death as he was all he had. this also proved to be a challenge for goerge as it set back there dream of getting there own land and house as he always planned doing it with him and even if he went ahed with it he would also have to make enought money to make lennies share of money that he would of contributed to the house and land. he also would never be able to look at a rabit again without remembering lennie. the other challenges goerge has to face are the challenges of him taking care of lennie as it is very hard to keep him out of yrouble as he doesnt know the rules and has little understanding of right and wrong. this is also has goerge has full controll lennie and lennie is completly dependent of goerge telling him about what he has to do or not do. goerge has to remeber for 2 people, think about what 2 people need to do and tell whats right and wrong for 2 people.
